Length of stay after admission for traumatic injury

Background: There has been a large reconfiguration within the Danish emergency departments since 2007, including merging of hospitals and establishing joint with larger populations, leading to an enhancement in experienced healthcare personnel, specialized equipment availability medical specialists. The aim this study was investigate association between length stay at hospital after physical traumatic injury departments.
 Methods: conducted as retrospective cohort patients admitted trauma Hospital South West Jutland Region Southern Denmark years 2007-2016. Statistical analyses were using multiple linear regressions.
 Results: A total 1693 included, which 580 before 1113 after. results showed beta coefficient -0.32 p-value <0.001 95% confidence interval -0.48 -0.15, giving 27.1% decrease compared before.
 Conclusion: After reconfiguring departments, for decreased, suggesting enhanced efficiency increased quality care patients.
